Student Goals:
Students will draw in 2-Point Perspective

Purpose:
Drawing with 1, 2 & 3 Point Perspective is a skill that every art student must understand and be able to demonstrate.

Student Objectives:
After completion of the lecture and the class exercises, the students will develop a final 2-Point Perspective drawing that shows all the percentages of a greyscale, from 100% white to 100% black, with all of the shapes and lines built up by contrast to a finished drawing of portfolio level.


Tasks:

301 - Draw objects using linear perspective.

302 - Design basic geometric and organic forms showing texture and tone.
307 - Create value with the use of layering.

Spot Of Color

Drawing in 2pt Perspective:

Drawing in 2pt perspective gives you a lot more options for structural drawing. 2pt perspective gives you much larger optical view as if you were looking at a full cityscape instead of just one street. Although this seems more difficult, the principles are much the same as 1pt perspective.Background / Overview:In this project the student will use 2pt perspective to design their own restaurant. The final project drawing should be finished to a level that you could present it to a bank or a lender to get the true feeling and design idea of the restaurant.

Requirements:
1. Horizontal Layout with the supplied paper
2. Image must show some form of structure-  (building, trees, mountains, etc)
3.  Need to be able to identify your horizon line
4. Image must show depth in the image - perspective
5. Final drawing needs to completed in colored pencils

Project goals:
1. Full value scale  - light to dark shades of color
2. Create interest for the eye
3.  Do something that interests you
4. Portfolio Piece

Project Overview: 

The key to creating a great tattoo begins with a visually appealing drawing, so it's essential that you focus on improving your drawing skills and illustration techniques before you even think about designing tattoos or attempting to practice tattooing. Here's how you can get started.

 

Practice Drawing On Your Own

The first thing you can do to get started is to begin drawing on your own. Keep a sketchbook and a pencil handy to draw in your free time; you don't need anything else to take that initial step. Draw things you see, things you think, and things other people describe. Get a feel for whether you truly enjoy drawing and creating art, especially art for other people. Since you'll be drawing requests most of the time, it's important that you're comfortable creating art that meets the specifications of others.
