A - Orientation - Foundation Year

Student Objectives:
Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will develop a grid drawing that shows full understanding of basic measurements, produce greyscale, from 100% white to 100% black, with all of the shapes and lines built up by contrast to a finished a geometric drawing of portfolio level.

B - Basic Photography - Foundation Year

Student Objectives:
Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will be able to set up and complete a studio photoshoot with little or no assistance, as documented in their portfolio.

C - Adobe Illustrator - Foundation Year

Student Objectives:
Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of computer design software (vector image artwork - Adobe Illustrator) by producing a completed digital photo manipulation project that shows the use of 8 or more tools. (i.e.; type tool, path tool, clone tool, etc.)

D - 1Pt Perspective - Foundation Year

Student Objectives:

Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will develop a final 1-Point Perspective drawing that shows all the percentages of a greyscale, from 100% white to 100% black, with all of the shapes and lines built up by contrast to a finished drawing of portfolio level.

E - Studio Photography - Foundation Year

Studio Photography:
Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will be able to set up and complete a studio photo shoot with little or no assistance, as documented in their portfolio.

F - Adobe Photoshop - Foundation Year

Student Objectives:
Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of computer design software (rasterized image artwork - Adobe Photoshop) by producing a completed digital photo manipulation project that shows the use of 8 or more tools. (i.e.; type tool, path tool, clone tool, etc.)

G - Figure Drawing - Foundation Year

Student Objectives:

Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will develop a final figure drawing that shows all the percentages of a greyscale, from 100% white to 100% black, with all of the shapes and lines built up by contrast to a finished drawing of portfolio level.

H - Product Photo/Video - Foundation Year

Student Objectives:
By June, the Visual Communications students, along with lectures, guided practices, multiple projects and various technique examples, the students will be able to set up and complete a studio photo shoot with little or no assistance, as documented in their portfolio.

I - Adobe InDesign - Foundation Year

J - Book Illustration - Foundation Year

K - Green Screen - Foundation Year

L - Adobe Animate - Foundation Year
