F - Adobe Photoshop

Student Objectives:
Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of computer design software (rasterized image artwork - Adobe Photoshop) by producing a completed digital photo manipulation project that shows the use of 8 or more tools. (i.e.; type tool, path tool, clone tool, etc.)

Tasks:
501 Execute image scanning procedures.
502 Identify the properties of vector and raster images.
509 - Demonstrate use of input, output and storage devices.
510 - Demonstrate appropriate use of different file formats.

Career Path: Fine Artist, Illustration
101 - Identify career paths within the vocational profession.

103 - Demonstrate research and organizational skills.

Final Design:

Adobe Photoshop - Surrealism

Find 8-10 images to use in your dreamscape design. The final piece should show how you used them in different ways.

Concept & Planning:

Sketchbook Activity #1:

Drawing The Eyes
The upper eyelid casts a shadow which forms a dark curve across the top of the eyeball. This gradually softens into the shaded areas at each corner of the eye.

Instructions: In your sketchbook, try doing a few different simple eyes drawings.

Sketchbook Activity #2:

Drawing The Nose
Drawing the nose involves understanding some simple anatomy. The nose is a complex form and knowing basic anatomy and structure of the nose is an absolute requirement. 

Instructions: In your sketchbook, try doing a few different simple Nose drawings.

Final Design:

Develop a work influenced by the Pablo Picasso. The project that you develop should push the idea of surrealism. The concept behind his work is based on viewing multiple angles of viewpoints, and putting them all in one focal point for the viewer to see.

Complete the final "Portfolio" design, this should be done to the highest level of completion.
After you have taken the final photo, go into Photoshop and adjust the color and crop it so it's ready for your portfolio website.
