D - 1Pt Perspective

Student Objectives:
Provided with multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practices, and student resources, the students will develop a final 1-Point Perspective drawing that shows all the percentages of a greyscale, from 100% white to 100% black, with all of the shapes and lines built up by contrast to a finished drawing of portfolio level.


Tasks:
301 - Draw objects using linear perspective. -
302 - Design basic geometric and organic forms showing texture and tone.

Final Design:

Drawing in 1pt Perspective
Drawing in 1pt perspective is the most basic of all perspective drawing. Developing solid drawing habits are most important at this stage, if they want to be able to draw in 2pt perspective or even 3pt perspective.

Concept & Planning:

Sketchbook Activity #1:

Shading - Blending - 3D Shapes - Light Source - BLENDING/SMUDGING is a technique of shading that focuses less on specific mark-making, and more on concealing the application of marks by either applying them seamlessly

Instructions: In your sketchbook, draw anyone of the basic shapes and ad a light source into the drawing by adding tone and shadows.

Sketchbook Activity #2:

Shading - Greyscale - 3D Shapes - Light Source - A light source is anything that makes light, whether natural and artificial. Natural light sources include the Sun and stars. Artificial light sources include lamp posts and televisions. ... Many objects simply reflect light from a light source.

Instructions: In your sketchbook, try doing a few different simple drawings of a face with different light sources.
